Ballard band camp dinners

Ballard Band Nation!

I hope everyone had a good first day of band camp!

As you know, next week the students will be there from 8am-8pm, which makes for some very hungry teenagers. Traditionally, the band boosters have fed the students dinner. This year we will continue the tradition with some modification.

Ms Tammy will not be around to cook for the band during band camp, as she has been in years past,. The boosters will provide the meat, paper products and drinks. Each night a different grade level or colorguard will be responsible for providing the condiments, sides, fruit and dessert. We are feeding about 120 people each night, so we need EVERYONE'S help donating food. Additionally, each night we'll need a few parents to come in to help set up, serve food and clean-up. A few of the boosters will be there each night, as a core group, but we do need additional help.

I will have a Sign-up Genius page to send to each group tomorrow with all the specifics foods and quantities that of what we need cooked and donated, but here is a basic break-down of each night, with what we'll be having and which grade is responsible for that night.

Monday - Junior parents - Pasta night

Tuesday - Senior parents - hot dogs and hamburgers

Wednesday - Sophomore parents - taco night

Thursday - Colorguard parents - fried chicken **colorguard parents participate with the guard - NOT with their child's grade level.

Friday - Freshman/8th grade parents - pizza

If you are new to the band program, this is a great way to get involved, meet other parents as well as the band kids. We'll be spending a lot of time together over the next few months, so jump in and get involved! We can't run the band without involved parents!
