The
Ballard Band Boosters Club is a non-profit 501c3 organization created
for the purpose to support Ballard High School's Marching Band, Winter
Guard and Concert programs.
The Ballard Band Boosters ("BBB") is an organization of volunteers
consisting of parents and relatives of current and former members of
the band. JCPS funding does not provide the funding necessary to
support and maintain the level of excellence expected at Ballard High
School. All monies raised from the program's fundraisers goes towards
providing transportation, competition fees, foods, equipment necessary
to provide the most prestigious music program for Ballard High School.

Terms of Office - June 1, 2007 through May 31, 2008
The
purpose of the organization is to aid, promote, assist, support,
improve and enhance the activities and endeavor of the Ballard H. S.
Band and its related affiliates to strive for and achieve standards in
all phases of performance. To provide support to the Band Director and
encourage participation by all parents/guardians in areas where he/she
may need assistance with the bands and/or all band activities. The term
“band and its related affiliates” include, but are
not limited to the concert, marching and pep bands, percussion
ensembles, jazz band, the marching season color guard and winter guard.
The
Executive Board is comprised of officers of
the organization and the band director. The Executive Board will meet
at least quarterly, or as deemed necessary. There are two functions of
this board; to discuss and evaluate band booster business including but
not limited to legal and financial matters for a decision, appropriate
action, and final approval, and to communicate decisions to the Board
of Directors and the membership at large. All Executive Board Members
are voting members, except the President, who will vote only when
breaking a tie. The Band Director shall not have a vote at Executive
Board meetings.

The
Board of Directors: The purpose of the Board
of Directors is to assist and support the schedule of band events and
reinforce the goals of the booster organization. The Board of Directors
shall meet at least semi annually and any other time as deemed
necessary by the Executive Board. The Board of Directors shall be made
up of two (2) voting members representing each grade level, and will
include two (2) voting members representing the color guard and one (1)
voting member representing the percussion section. All Board of
Directors are voting members except for the President, who will vote
only when breaking a tie. The Band Director shall not have voting
privileges at any of the Executive Board meetings.

Standing
Committees: Chairperson shall be appointed by
the President. Committees will meet as necessary which is to be
determined by the chair of each committee. The chairperson shall report
at each Board of Directors meeting as needed. Standing committees do
not have voting rights.

The
Executive Board (at 6:30 pm) and Board of
Directors (at 7:00 pm) will meet the 1st Tuesday of each month in the
band room
The Parent Informational Meeting will be held the 2nd Tuesday of each
month when scheduled at the Ballard Cafeteria.
